Sometimes the future isn't clear because we're looking too intently at the past. We've learned that what many people really need is first to decide where they want to go in their life , and then a little help figuring out how to get there. Do you know you need change but aren’t sure what your first step is? We are here to help you discover that positive direction, and to support you as you take your next step.
Leading our professional staff for counseling and psychotherapy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who is listed in the registry of STAR Behavioral Health Providers for military and veterans and trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and FOCUS (Family Resiliency Training). In addition, our Certified Professional Coach, also trained in Solution-Focused methods, can help where a therapist is not necessary. With nearly 40 years in the "people-helping" field, we'll be able to provide the considerate, compassionate and confidential help you're seeking.
We specialize in personal and family counseling, marriage counseling, issues related to adoption and foster care, spiritual crisis, relational and communication issues, medical and chronic health issues, end of life support and care-giver needs, post-traumatic stress, pastoral support, mental health diagnosis, and mood disorders.
We are "faith-based," but not exclusive, because, while our faith framework provides a solid foundation for our practice, we also understand that many people have different perspectives, and our goal is to help in the midst of inevitable change, to use whatever is available to make it more positive, not to make demands or create further stress.
